We have got two gardens at school: one for Infants and a bigger one for Primary Students, near their playground.
Its a crosscurricular project we started some years ago. It helps children to be convivial, to share and colaborate and help them to achieve Nature and Environment concepts.
During the schoolyear we plan all the task to do progressively: Getting the soil ready, planting, cleaning, sharing duties, coordination with families, summer rota to taking care of it and the planning for the new schoolyear.
This project is linked to the school waste management. Students collect all the organic material and do compost with them. We use it as manure in the garden.
